FDIC Auction Price as Percent of Book
The chart below shows FDIC auction prices for loans as a percentage of book. The chart is broken out by real estate type and loan quality. No surprise to see residential loans trading at 20 cents on the dollar when non-performing. The surprising thing is that there is no great spread between residential loans and CRE loans when both are performing.
